My 7" MID Android Tab wont turn on !

I just got this tablet as a gift today off my girlfriend for christmas, ive charged it for hours and when i press the power button, hold for 2 seconds, nothing comes up on the screen? Its just a green light in the top left/top right (depends on which way you hold) .?

Any suggestion or anyone that can help? much apprectiated

Try resetting it. Insert a thin paper cliff into the reset hole then press the ON button for a few seconds (Until the Android logo comes on).
