Wont be cheap, but interesting none-the-less. Shenit says samples are still running Android 2.2, but has expected 3.0 upgrade. Malata is one of the best shanzhai manufacturers working on tablets.

We totally agree that this device is overpriced at this moment. However Elocity A7 is just 7 inches and this device is 9.7 inches with IPS screen and WCDMA. Hopefully Malata will bring the price down soon so that it will cost around $550 for the 3G version.

It is a little overpriced, but it is meaningless to compare to American pricing. American pricing is probably 20% lower on average when compared to the rest of the world for tablets.

The price is fair for Europeans for a device with said specifications. The issue is that I am concerned about the upgrade path as well as the quality of the device.

I'll be interested to see what it costs in Gz. I'm heading over there next month and will keep my eyes open for it. Going to be pretty busy this trip though. :)

Sent from the awesome ZTab :D

ez-pad posts indicate 3400RMB-4000RMB or so. Malata is getting orders elsewhere to justify this pricing.

Hello,

ps: now owner of IPAD-1-3G

After lon research online and even considering IPAD-2 i made my choice and
ordered the Malata Zpad T8-3G, 1GB Ram Version.

The beast should arrive with DHL within 1-2 weeks.

Costed me: 600USD device + 50USD for the HDMI-OUT Docking station (official
one) + 50USD for DHL Express = 700USD all together, Almost same price as
IPAD-2-3G-16GB.

I know that some people would tell me "You coud get Asus, acer, ipad" but for
some reason I made my choice with T8.

A big question:

Would T2's rom work on the T8? Would GTAB's roms work on T8? How soon
expected the official Android 3 rom for T8? Are there any good existing T8
Android 3 custom roms? and How basically I root this device?

Thank you :)
