NVIDIA Shield Gets the iFixit TearDown; Described as Clean but Complicated

According to the tech-heads over at iFixit, the new NVIDIA Shield is clean but complicated to assemble. They worked their usual magic on the new portable gaming device and it came away with a 6 out of 10 on their repairability scale. For the most part the design of the device was very modular. In the end, it was the display that dragged its scores down.

At least now you will know your problem areas if you ever have need to take one of these apart...

Nvidia’s Shield almost got my my money but $299 sounded steep. I opted for the $50 Moga Pro wireless controller for my Android phone and tablet instead. A good choice? I don’t regret it for a second.
