I understand that Coby's Kyros MID7024 has a resolution of 800 x 480. I'm having some problems with the display that I'm not sure are caused by the device itself or the resolution. The image is pretty badly distorted, making circles look like ovals, especially in the portrait picture mode. When using it in the portrait display position, the left and right sides of the tablet squish the image together, like this:

When using it in the landscape picture mode, it crushes the image (not as badly as in portrait) from the top and bottom of the screen, like this:

My question is whether this display issue is limited to my particular tablet or all tablets with a 800 x 480 resolution. I'm looking at getting a new capacitive tablet to replace my resistive one and I'd like to keep the price low, but the vast majority of cheap tablets use a 800 x 480 resolution. If any of you own a 800 x 480 tablet, could you tell me if your image is distorted as well? Try checking in portrait mode first.
