PDF with Notes

Hello! New to tablets, and hoping (but doubt) what I want exists. I'm a Masters student so a lot of what I'm reading is in PDF format. I'm wondering if there's a reader that allows you to read the PDF and take notes on the side. Any ideas or know of a way of doing this without pen and paper?

did you find an answer? im in same situation. i saw one suggestion for ezpdf, its 2.50 euro. find any free ones
