Hello,

I have locked my ZTPad C91. When i type google account it says "Too many bad attempts." I have tried to reset the google password, but is still does not work.

So I have only 2 options:

1. Factory reset - the device does not has button for factory reset - i need bootable file to reset it.
2. Installing new Android OS - I can not find the appropriate files for doing it.

Can anyone help with this issue? :)

Thank you in advance :)

Hi synsal, congratulations on your Samsung Galaxy S2 & ZTPad C91 and welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us here at Android Tablets.

Try this to see if you can reset:

Make sure the tablet is OFF.
Press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons at the same time.
When the Android starts to flash, release the buttons.

Enjoy your tablets and the forum!

The Zenithink recovery is different from most android devices.... Which ZT C91 do you have? A ZT-280 C91 (with 512MB RAM and the Amlogic M1 CPU) or a ZT-282 C91 Upgrade (with 1GB RAM and the Amlogic M3 CPU)? Which model also? 2n, 3n, 3a, 1a, 1n?

You would need to reflash a ROM onto your tablet to fix it... Or if you had a recovery file, you could use a command file with just --wipe_data in it to clear the data partition....

You should get to a screen with several icons, one of which should say something along the lines of "wipe". Try again.

When I press and hold Power button and volume + button it says this " Prepare enter mmc update mode please release all key. No card insert! Press VOL+ when insert, other exit"

When I press and hold Power button and volume - button it says the same...

So there is no option for wipe.

The latest ROM available from Zenithink for the ZT-283 C97 I1_2a tablet is the 1214 ROM, not sure why they still haven't posted it on their website - http://www.zenithink.com/UploadFile/temp/ZT283_I1_2a_1GB_Android4.1_1214_V1.4.zip

Is the ROM official? Because I do not like the Android I installed (ZT283_I1_2a_1GB_Android4.0_0806_V2.42).

Yes, the 1214 ROM is the last Official JellyBean (4.1.1) ROM from Zenithink....

The 0806 ICS ROM? Did you download that from the Zenithink FTP?

I'm using my modified Zenithink 0911 ICS ROM on my C97 - C97_ICS_0910_omarahum_modified_Zenithink_ROM_updatedNov9th2012.zip

There are also a lot custom ROMs available by Christian Troy for the C97's posted on SlateDroid - ZT-283 C97 Custom ROM Development - SlateDroid.com
