Quest about rooting my device.

Hi guys, pretty new to the whole rooting thing. I've had the G1 before and tried rooting it when the one-click things weren't out yet and that was ridiculously difficult. I currently have the Next Gen3 Tablet and was wondering how I would go about rooting this. Just some simple questions: Can one-click roots root all devices? Or are there certain apps for certain tablets.
