Root doesn't work as of new update?

If discussions about rooting and such are against the ToS or frowned upon, please feel free to delete this thread.

My Iconia recently updated the system software and it is now:

Android Version: 3.2
Kernel version: 2.6.36.3+
Build #: Acer_A500_7.006.01_COM_GEN1

As a result of this, all the pre-loaded Acer stuff I didn't care for (like the Games/Media/Reading/etc. folders) returned.

The app I used previously, "Iconia Root", by XDA, will no longer work on the new system, and tells me "something went wrong, you are NOT ROOTED."

Is there an update for this, does anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

I'm actually a little amazed he was able to get the update if he had deleted all of those things.
Most of tne tkme if you root and start deleting the foist-ware the ota update fails.

Still, anyone with enough reading skills to read how to root should have known that they would lose root with this update.
Is been plastered all over the net for weeks.
