Rooted Nook w/ stock ROM: Question

I have the above setup. I was wondering if there was a way to create a shortcut to whatever book I'm currently reading within the Nook launcher. Right now I have a Library shortcut on my LauncherPro homescreen that takes me to my list of books, then I can click on the current book. I'd like to streamline that process. Do I have any options to achieve that?

Thanks for the link. I attempted Option #2 and the shortcut was placed where I put it, but it didn't do anything when I tapped on it. I'll have to mess around with it to see if I can make any progress.

Just a follow-up note... for some reason the bookmarks I enter while reading do not sync with the Nook server. I went to continue reading my current book on my Thunderbolt and the last bookmark saved was the last one before I created this shortcut.
