The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, which would mark a new tablet size for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab family, will reportedly launch in the following months, with the Wi-Fi version said to arrive in week 24 (June 10-16), followed by the 3G version at some point during week 27 (July 1-7).

This is just a rumor at this time coming from a Sam Mobile insider, so take everything with a grain of salt, although we will point out that the publication has been often right about upcoming Samsung devices.

In fact, this isn’t the first time we’re looking at reports detailing an 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3. The same site mentioned the product a while ago, and this new Galaxy Tab size would not surprise us considering that Samsung has already announced a similar 8-inch tablet, the Galaxy Note 8.0, which is already available in some markets.

As for the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, we don’t have that many details for you right now, but the report did reveal the model numbers for this new tablet. SM-T3100 is apparently the model number for the 16GB 3G model, while SM-T3110 is the model number for the 16GB Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 version.

The publication also mentions a bunch of other model numbers that are part of what looks like a new family of mobile devices for Samsung – model numbers starting with the SM-T letter code – including the “SM-T210、SMT210R、SM-T210X、SM-T211、SM-T215、SM-T310、SM-T310、SM-T310X、SM-T311、SM-T312 and SM-T315.”

These model numbers have been spotted on Samsung Japan’s download support page already (image above), in the tablet section, although we couldn’t tell you what they stand for at this time.

What’s certain is that Samsung will launch a variety of Android mobile devices in the coming months, from smartphones to tablets, so we’ll probably see more rumors featuring these unconfirmed products in the future.

Are you looking forward to buy a new Samsung tablet this year?
