Samsung Officially Announces the Galaxy Tab 3 8 and 10.1; Coming in June

For weeks now we have heard rumors and FCC filings about Samsung's newest Galaxy Tab devices. Today they officially announced the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch and 10.1 inch varieties. Here's are the specs for both devices followed by a press release,

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch:

• 1.5Ghz dual-core processor
• 1.5GB of RAM
• 16 or 32GB of storage
• MicroSD card slot
• 5 megapixel rear camera with no LED flash
• 1.3MP front camera
• 8-inch 1280x800 LCD
• 4,450mAh battery
• Infrared port

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch:

• 1.6Ghz dual-core
• Rear camera 3MP
• 1GB
• 16 or 32GB of storage

• 1280x800 10.1-inch LCD
• 6,800mAh battery
• Android 4.2
• WiFi, 3G and LTE models available

It's strange to see that the larger model has slightly lower-end specs compared to the smaller one. Regardless, both of these are likely to have competitive pricing although those details have not been shared just yet. Here's the official presser,
