[Solved] pictures won't display properly

I'm having trouble getting photos that I took on my galaxy s4 to display properly on my galaxy tab 3 and tab 2

I have copied the photos from my phone to my tablets via dropbox. I'm using the standard gallery app on my tabs

On both tabs the photos display properly in thumbnail view. The problems occur when I try to display the photos full size

On my tab 3 the photo appears initially fuzzy while the app tries to fully resolve the photo. The first full res version displays for an instant, bht then it degrades back to the initial fuzzy version. It keeps oscillatiing between the two. I'm running andriod 4.2.2

On my tab 2 the photo appears initially fuzzy and then it fades to white.

Any idea what could be causing this?

I'd like to suggest trying a different app to see if you get similar results. Try QuickPic from the Google Store.

How do those photos look if you open them on a PC?
