Specifying Where Programs/Data Get Filed

I would like for my picture files, those taken by the camera, be saved on my microSD card. Is there anyway to do that? I had a tablet die on me, and I lost a bunch of photos.

BTW, I have an Asus Memo Pad 8 - 181C with 4.4.2

There is no way to save them to the microSD card by default but there are at least dozen good apps you can use to move them. ES File Explorer or Airdroid are both good options.
