Stop Facebook On Tablet

OK today I had some down time and was looking at network traffic. I noticed that my tablet was connecting to several sites one of which is facebook. While I have a fb account, I only ever use it on an old XP machine. Does anyone have any ideas on how to block/uninstall what ever apps/tracking/etc fb has somehow put on my tablet?

Uninstall the Facebook app on the tablet and use the mobile site through Chrome or your browser of preference. Also keep in mind that Facebook now owns Whatsapp. If you have Whatsapp on your tablet, that could also explain the Facebook network traffic.

Check your FB account and see if there's something there in the preferences or settings that's causing it to sync with all your devices.
