Tablet for little kid

Hi,

New to tablet. Saw my friend's kid (3 years old) playing education games on iPad.

1. Are there a lot of education games for kid on Android tablet?

2. What models are suited for kids? I'd guess it needs to be sturdy but does not have to be powerful

3. Is there a model I can buy now?

4. Should I wait for Android 3.0?
