The right tab?

I went through the thread "which tablet", but there are so many people asking different questions that I couldn't find a decent answer. I hope you all can help me. I want to get a tablet for my wife and I think the Galaxy tab with wifi will fit the bill, but I need you to tell me. First she is not real computer literate (I'm a little better, but not much) and she won't tolerate having to go through a computer course to try to figure things out. It needs to be simple. Here are the things she will do:
Some book reading - not extensive
Internet browsing (wifi is fine)
movie watching while traveling etc.
general messing with apps.
She has an android phone so she is somewhat used to that.

My main questions are:
How easy is it to put movies on the tab? Ones that we have on DVD with or without a digital copy. I don't want to have to do it all for her or fight with a bunch of programs and gyrations to get it to work. I like idiot proof.
The Kindle app should work fine I would assume as it works fine on her phone.
Skype or Google video chat works OK?

All i can say is get the galaxy tablet, i got my girlfriend on and she does not know much but being that she has an android phone she gets the swing of it. It pretty much does, read and plays everything so far i have not had no issues.
