Newbie here, oldie to tablets, newbie to mods and rooting. I have just successfully Rooted and system dumped a Coby MID1042-8, 10" tablet. Right out of box, after 10 hour charge, battery was completely discharged.

Thanks you all. Well after trying numerous methods to install Google Play to no avail. I finally got it--Using ES File Explorer with root privileges. Google Play and Amazon Apps installed and updated and working great.
