TM701 sound problems

Hi my daughter has a tm701 tablet its 9 months old amd the volume has stopped working. Ive tried everything in the settings to look to see if she accidentally turned it off but all os o.k.
It just stopped working. Please help.

Hi Wayne, welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us here at Android Tablets.

Try plugging in a headset to see if you get sound from it. If it works, the little switch in the headset jack is probably stuck or the jack is broken.

If the jack isn't the problem, try turning the tablet completely off (Hold the power button in until you get a shut down message and select it.). Then wait a minute and turn it back on, and see if you have sound.

If not, try a factory reset. There's an option for it somewhere in the settings for the tablet.

We have tried all of the above, theres no sound with or without the earphones. The volume display shows full volume.
