Touch Screen Acts Like It's Touching Itself

I've got an ASUS ME302C and it has developed an issue where more and more often it's like there's a ghost running it's fingers over the touch screen, moving things around, opening apps, closing apps etc. I had a cover on it and removed it thinking maybe something was trapped between the touchscreen and the cover but that's made no difference. There's no weird apps on there and the OS is at the latest revision available through the system updater. Anyone have any ideas??

I would get a micro fiber cloth and give the screen a good (dry) wipe down. If that doesn't help you may want to consider a factory reset to rule out a hardware problem. Be certain to copy your "stuff" off the tablet somewhere.
