Hope someone can help me out here. So I've been researching to see what type of specs I want for my tablet. I decided that the Tegra2 is out of my price range, so I'm going with a Cortex A8.

My question is if there is a difference among the type of Cortex A8. I know that the Apple A4 is a amped up Cortex A8, but what about the others? Mainly the Freescale iMX515 and the Samsung S5PV210. Which one is one better and is there a huge difference? Anyone knows of any sites that benchmark the tablets processors?

Thanks!

I have done some research and my conclusion is Freescale IMX515 runs at 800Mhz and S5PV210 runs at 1.0Ghz..Some of manufacturer did a small volume increment to overclocked it to run at 1.2Ghz to the S5PV210.

All Cortex A8 are single core, so the processor clock (speed) and integrated video engine are the main important thing. Samsung has one of the best chip sets. Here you can find a good review of most ARM processors used for tablets:
