Unwanted Startup on Plugging In Charger

I there any way to stop my TF101 from booting when I have turned it off, and then plug in the charging cord? Is this normal behaviour? It's running Android 4.0.3. I searched the forum and the manual, but couldn't find a solution.

I find it annoying, as I have my charger plugged in behind a dresser and leave it there. I never use it while charging, so I have to stand and wait for it to finish booting and then turn it off again.

Any help greatly appreciated.

It IS normal behavior and I don't know of any way to stop it. Many other tablets and some phones also power up when the charger is plugged in, even if totally powered down.

I guess the solution is to plug it in BEFORE shutting down. All I have to do is remember!

Yep, that's what I do, plug in - shut down.
