Hi.

I have recently purchased a SuperPad 11 with the Android OS v.2.2. I am pleased with it however, I do not like the way that you can gain access to everything on it just simply by turning it on.

There does not appear to be any way to create user accounts and/or to have a password or swipe for security purposes.

Is there any way that :

* I can set up a user name

* Enter a password or swipe to start.

I have done a search on the forums here but nothing comes up. Thanks.

Android doesnt support user accounts and probably wont unless they port such a feature the near future android netbooks being produced.
However, their are such apps to enable password protection on private folders. Their is a password enabler in the settings as a lockscreen as well.

Thank you for the info. I have checked my settings and cannot find any reference to what you have referred to. Could you be more specific please.

Tablets are no different. User accounts do not exist on android. You must share the tablet. Nothing is private.

The password protection apps can be found in the market place
