Despite the horror stories that I'd heard about android tablets bought on Ebay, I went ahead and bought this one: 7" Android 2.1 Tablet PC Telechips iRobot HDMI WIFI Cam - eBay (item 280568275929 end time Oct-03-10 16:14:03 PDT) (I only paid 200/shipping included & it came in 2 days from US seller!)

Additionally this is a Youtube video made by the Ebay seller for the device (all of the external identifying features are shown within the first 20 seconds or so):

I adore it but what is it???

I'm using it mostly for reading comic books and e-books (considering I spent the last 6 months or so using an iPod touch for this purpose, this is quite the upgrade). I'm wondering if I can upgrade to 2.2? Any clue? Thanks in advance!

This looks identical to mine with exactly the same specs. I'm also trying to find out the make and was told by the supplier that is made by Elonex but having gone on their wesite couldn't find anything that looks the same. Not sure if you can upgrade to 2.2 but have recently read somewhere that the 2.2 runs slower so I'm sticking with 2.1.
