This is the new dual-core Cortex-A9 from Wondermedia.

Has anyone managed to find a UART/serial header on these tablets yet?



There is a small set of solder pads on the bottom (8 pads @ 1.27mm), but I can't confirm they are a UART.

The pads on the bottom do infact contain the UART pins. There also appears to be pins to allow reprogramming the serial flash.

Image attached shows the UART pins, labelled on the adapter side (eg. Connect the RX wire of your USB->serial adapter to the RX pad on the board).



I have (had) connected my adapter and confirmed this works. Now I've managed to rip the pad off the board so can't do any further work on this board - I highly recommend if you solder enamelled wire that you glue it
