BTW Is anyone getting a screen protector for the Iconia A700 or going naked???

I can't imagine needing a screen protector. I'm gentle with my devices. My Pandigital Novel is over two years old and the screen looks like new...NookColor's screen looks great, but my son cracked the plastic case last summer.

me too, I normally don't use screen protectors. I've often asked myself if they're really necessary or just a waste of money...

It really depends. The first consideration is, does your tablet have Gorilla Glass? If so it will hold up well if you don't misuse your tablet, (of course accidents will happen). If no Gorilla Glass you should seriously look into it. I only base that comment on the number of people reporting having scratched their screens and any blemish on a touch screen is not good.
