I was reading a thread here, http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...13-cfw-mid7024-based-alldro2-gingerbread.html, so I noticed that Steev put a from Antutu benchmark and I was forced to do the same as I never had that curiosity before. How fast is the coby 1024 because I had not other tablet to compare.

Now for my surprise I see that 7024 beats my 1024 in all the most importants aspects !! How is it possible? Off the screen size, the rest is that same specification.

My Coby 1024 is running the Evo 1.5 Rom and that from the thread is running Alldro2 Gingerbread ROM.

Here are my scores with Antutu benchmark:

ItemCoby 1024Coby 7024
RAM337376
CPU Integer611697
CPU Float156174
Graphics 2D175184
Graphics 3D7361193
Database I/O335390
SD Card Write4.5 Mb/s6.6 Mb/s
SD Card Read6.5 Mb.s5.7 Mb/s
Final Score24603237

The Graphics were very impressive difference: 61% !!!

And I am using ChainFire3D... I thinking in downgrade to 2.2 and run this test again.

I notice this clue on Steev's thread but I dont realize exactly it this can be a tip..

"-998 MHz u-boot.bin now used by default for stability and battery life"

Anyway, sorry if this subject were already treated here, but I was not able to search such info.

Someone else could put your scores? Steev, can you run an updated Antutu benchmark?

Steev got that high scores when used an overclocked kernel for 7024 that runs on 1.2GHz instead of the normal speed (1GHz). There is no overclock kernel for 1024 as far as I know.

For normal use, the bechmark results won't reflect the same increase in speed. And system won't be as stable, so I don't think overclock is a good idea in this case...

Most important, to me, is get some improve with video playing. My Coby suffers when playing 720p mkv video, so that 60% video is very welcome, even if I get 30% I would be more happy.

Considering that the hardware specs are the same, less the screen size, I would expect that kernel is the same, huh?
