thanks. I downloaded and installed in GM10 both superone click 1.7 and root explorer. when I start root explorer I receive the following: root access can not be obtained because su failed;
su: uid 10053 not allowed to su
root explorer will continue in non-root mode.
It means I am unable to delete phone.apk file.
How to get a permission for root explorer to delete this phone.apk that drains my battery completely within 6-7 hours with an unused device?

what should I do with superone click 1.7? when I start it on GM10 it tells there is not applications in list. Should I do something with setup mode? May be this application is not for tablet but should be installed in a big PC and work from there?
I am absolutely clueless with this applications.

Ok, I forgot to tell you something
SuperOneClick is a PC software.
Lauch it, connect you GM10 to your PC and then click on 'root'
After this, your device will be rooted and you will be abble to run root explorer correctly.
(If your device is not detected by the PC, you will have to install google usb drivers on your PC : For this, try to find Adb package called ADB for dummy's)

Don't forget that you will have a little fenefitto erase phone.apk. Don't think the tha battery life will increase a lot !!!

if it does not increase a battery time why should I need a rooting? A battery depleating is my major concern because it completely drains within 6-7 hours. When I check a battery use I see 85-89% of use is a cell standby. I tried to disable this permanent standby by setting airport mode but it feature does not work.

I've tried the same and also didn't work.
Still looking for an issue to this problem. At first, removing phone.apk gave me approx 1/2h more.

If you have only screen and inactive phone system as battery consumers, you seem to be at the top.

But I still think that the hardware is the drainer. Why ? Because the processor is not managed by the system and alway work at the maximum power (even in sleeping mode), draining the battery.

So now, remember the price you paid for this pad :)))

Hi, I have just got my GM10 and have started getting it setup. I noticed that you have got copilot 8 working? I have checked my system versions and they are exactly the same as yours.

I am having major problems with copilot crashing every time it try to find a route. I have tried everything I can think of to get this working with no luck.

What version are you running?

Cheers

Hi, sorry for my English.
How can I connect USB 3G modem Huawei E173 to the MID GM10? Firmware updated, but when I create new 3G connection nothing happens.

I will answer myself

Original post Как подключить 3G-модем к Android планшету (How to connect your 3G-modem to Android tablet pc) ― China Shop edit by Sam Art
Most Chinese tablets running Android formally support the connection of USB 3G-modem. But due to lack of drivers or incorrect settings, even the statement is supported model does work.
As an example, consider the GM10 Android 2.2 (firmware G10_5_XYL_V2.5_en_20110218 and cthulhu2) and 3G-modem Huawei E173.
Many users experience when connecting the modem to the device and run the utility to work with 3G, nothing happens, and the modem does not work. The problem is that modern modems are recognized as two units - the actual modem, and a virtual CD-ROM, and sometimes even as a flash drive. Android does not know how to work with the "composite" device, and a successful use of 3G-modem needs to be translated into only mode modem. This is done using Windows-utility Hyper Terminal, and now we know how.
To connect the Chinese Android-plate (GM10) to the Internet we need:
1) A computer running Windows XP (x86).
2) 3G Modem Huawei E173.
3) GM10 (Android 2.2).
4) Program Hyper Terminal.

Instructions:
1) Connect the modem to a PC running Windows and make sure it works.
2) Save all the files on the virtual CD modem.
3) Disconnect your computer from the network and the Internet and run Hyper Terminal.
Hyper Terminal program found under Start> Programs> Accessories> Communications> Hyper Terminal
4) In the "Connection Description" write any name, say "Huawei", and press ENTER. We are waiting for the appearance of the window "Connect". In his latest column "Connect using" to select "HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem" and click OK.
Next after that a window with a phone number and other parameters need to just close by pressing the "Cancel".
5) Now on the toolbar of the program, press the last button "Properties":
And that opens the Properties window: the modem "select the tab" Options:
Click "Options ASCII":
Put a tick in the second top box "Show input characters on the screen."
Click OK. The top window is closed. Click OK. The last window closes, and the main window, flashing cursor.
6) Turn on CAPS LOCK and print command AT. Press ENTER. Comes the answer: OK. Means connected to the modem is installed. Introduce one of the following:
AT^U2DIAG=0 (device-only modem)
AT^U2DIAG=1 (the device as a modem CD-ROM)
AT^U2DIAG=255 (the device as a modem CD-ROM Card Reader)
AT^U2DIAG=256 (the device as a modem Card Reader).
For successful operation the modem into a tablet to take command AT ^ U2DIAG = 0, and put it to "just a modem." Typing, press ENTER, and in return see OK.
Close the window Hyper Terminal, answering "Yes" to the proposal to interrupt a session and refusing to stay connected.
7) Make sure that emulation CD-ROM is disabled. To do this, disconnect the modem from the USB port and then connected in the same port. In "My Computer" should not appear "new" CD-ROM - only those that actually are.
If they need to return the modem to its original state, you must repeat the entire procedure, but with the team AT^U2DIAG = 255 (the device as a modem CD-ROM Card Reader).
7a) ## remark by Sam Art: When I disable emulation CD-ROM and card reader modem doesn’t work with mid. Its only works with AT^U2DIAG=256 (the device as a modem Card Reader).
8) Run Android on your tablet, go to Settings> Wireless> Access Points (APN) "and enter the settings of your mobile operator.
Below are the settings MTS Connect:
Name: internet.mts.ru
dial number: * 99 #
Username: mts
Password: mts
Press the "use default value"
9) Restart Android.
10) After restarting the Android simply plug the modifiedmodem into a port USB.
7-10 seconds near the battery icon appears 3G. Everything works:)

Hello. I am sorry for bumping this thread. But I have this tablet and I cant seem to find a retailer that would carry the charger for it. Is there any chargers that would be compatible and work with it? Also who makes this thing? Moterola or samsung?

It is a Chinese non-standard charger... :) In Hungary www.Bluepanther.eu and Speedshop.hu a Mobiltelefon, Navigáció és PDA tartozék specialista sells this charger (and if the warranty is valid, they give a new one).
