Bookmark shortcuts to home screen?

I was trying to put some bookmark shortcuts to my home screen and it keeps failing. I press my home screen then Add item>Shortcut, and it goes right back to the home screen. It gives me no choice of what I want to add. Is there another way of putting bookmark shortcuts to home screen?

Its a known issue- what u need to do is open the app tray long press on the app which closes the app tray n leaves thhe app icon on your screen

I don't think bookmark shortcuts can be added. Just apps and widgets. It is something that needs to be worked out in newer releases. Unless somebody knows a workaround?

I got the shortcuts to go to my home page, but they disappear after an hour. SO frustrating.

ICS has a whole widget for book marks Just hold on a while longer and we will get CM9 soon enough.
