ROOT NEEDED
This is the same engine found in latest SE Xperia series phones

TESTED AND WORKING!

Improves the screen quality while playing games,watching movie,gallery
best seen on full brightness. It also increases sharpness.

It's A Post-Processing Engine, so you can view the improvements only on your tablet's screen.

Bravia Engine for our tablets. Working!
Steps:
1.Add these lines to build.prop at the last (Use ES File Explorer, Go to settings and enable all the root options) (located at: /system/build.prop)
#Bravia Engine Service
ro.service.swiqi.supported=true
persist.service.swiqi.enable=1
2.Download the zip file and put all the files in it in /system/etc
3.Use Terminal Emulator from Market and type the following commands:

su
cd /system/etc
busybox chmod 0755 be_photo
busybox chmod 0755 be_movie
busybox chown 0.0 be_photo
busybox chown 0.0 be_movie
busybox chmod 0644 /system/build.prop

and: ls -l to check if you've done it right.

4.Reboot and Bravia will automatically start at every boot without causing any decrease in performance.

That is what I meant...I was wondering if there was a performance boost or battery savings etc.

Thanks...Brad

no as with the phone. when we do the braiva engine. pics and videos all around everything looks crisper. i notice it on my home screen. not as pixelated.

Another cool tweak, thanks! Out of hacks lol, a nice Eclipse style ROM would be SWEET.
