Camera Swap (Best Buy S7-104)

Well just woke up , off to work in a few. Turned on my S7 and hangs at the loading screen "the round dots" , it just sits there. I took out my external sdcard and it loads up fine. What could have happened to my sdcard? After doing above process i rebooted multiple times and everything was fine.

So hangs with sdcard inserted, boots fine without card in now.

EDIT- started without sdcard in, booted up fine.... inserted sdcard, went to settings > sdcards > and the internal and external cards show up fine. All apps show as the lil android guy.....

I am guess here, but it may be a problem with your second partition, since you have A2SD installed. Can you go into a terminal and type "mount" and "busybox df -h" to make sure all the partitions on the sdcard are mounted?

I think you possibly need to fsck the ext2 partition and then it might be ok. Can you insert the card into a Windows or Linux PC and look at it?

I guess we have messed up rear cam isnt' show up on the system anymore
I have tried to revert back but no luck to see rear cam anymore

Thanks Celtus & Shanksv. I am learning android, its more fun that I thought. Just threw the Front and rear camera files into GScript folder after verifying the files /dev/msm_Camera. Run Front and Fring, run Rear and mobileTag. All work great, do not have to go to terminal or adb shell. Perfect. Thanks guys. Can somebody guide me where is THANKs button please? I owe it to many of you.

Sry pvella but have already done a factory reload and fdisked the internal

i will be redoing the app2sd when i get home from work. Funny my init-cam. Sh file is still there and on reboots i still have my front cam as default, back cam works fine.

will redo and see what happens, i did go a bit crazy downloading before bed yesterday and turned off s7. turned on this morning and got the hang. Not sure if the downloading caused the issue

thx, this still rocks ! Looking forward to 2.2

Can someone explain where they are putting these switch GSCRIPTS and what do i write one in ? np++ ?

thx

whatever I do after reboot it comes back with front cam only
ls -l /dev/msm_camera

It looks like is something overwrite when system startup anyidea?

Updates
I have revert back to the orignial files but I sill unable to see rear camera
Is there a way to restore system files or re-install camera only? re-image would be my last choices

Thanks

So, quick question,

Do i just download the Scripts and the program? and then what? just run it? sorry, im somewhat new to this,

Thank you

Yes download the program and install it. Run the program, click the menu button, tap on the add script menu, you can either type and create the script there or you can tap on load file and you will should see the 2 script files in your Sd card's gscript folder (download from the earlier attachment and put it in the SD card's gscript folder)

Hope I am clear:)

You are very clear, one last question,

As i try FRING, it is somehow up-side-down,

What i means: when i see myself correctly, the other person sees me up-side-down,

Any ideas on that?

Thank you!

Try flipping s7 180, see if the does anything.
