Can I USB tether my HTC Hero to my S7 and use the internet from my Hero?

I just got my S7 today and am starting to play around with it.

I have a HTC Hero which I would like to see if I can USB tether it to my S7 and use the internet connection from hero....

I've rooted my evo and wifi tether works. It isnt usb though.

Read through the sticky post on tips and tricks, theres a how to on this. It's a little involved but works. Wi Fi only as far as I know.

You should be able to use wifi tether if you root your phone. When using the EVO you get full wifi hotspot capabilities I do not not know about the hero but you should check out XDA Developers site and the section on your phone.

Go here for the download to gain root on your HTC Hero: unrevoked
Go here for the download for the WiFi Tether APK: http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/detail?name=wireless_tether_2_0_2.apk

Once you root your Hero, if you are running 2.2 on the Hero you should be able to turn on WiFi tether and connect via Wireless Connections. If you are not, you will have to follow the step-by-step that is contained elsewhere in this forum.
