Can transfer e-book from PC to Kindle ???????

I bought some e-book from Amazon and download to my laptop. Now if I buy Kindle Fire can I transfer my e-book from my laptop to Kindle Fire ?????

You can send all the .mobi files as attachments to email to your @kindle.com address. These mobi files can then be viewed on Kindle, on sync they show up on the device.

No point if you bought them from amazon, but if you got them from another source it might be useful. With my Fire i usually just transfer books through my box.net or dropbox account useing ES File Explorer. I actually prefer to use FB Reader for non drm content anyway.
