Hi everyone,

I just bought one of those from a major retail supermarket here in Dubai.
I thought "What the hell, I need something to test the apps I develop" but at the end of the day, and for the price I paid, I am quite impressed.
It runs Android 4.0.4, but unfortunately also all the Coby bloatware you can imagine.

Here are the specs:

4GB Flash + microSDHC (max 32gb)
7'' LCD resistive touch screen 800x480 WVGA
Cortex A8 processor 1Ghz, 512 Mb RAM
802.11 b/g/n
0.3 MP front camera

All of this for U$ 88, which is not bad at all.
Youtube videos play fine (havent tested HD yet), and I'd say the major drawback is lack of google play, as I needed Adobe Air badly on it,
which eventually I managed to get using 1mobile.com (Air works fine on it).

So my next question is: is it worth rooting it (and if so how exactly)?

All the developer's options that you expect to find are there and available, so I am not too sure.
For nand backup maybe?

Anyone has ideas worth sharing?
There is virtually no info on this model, and it would be great if someone could point me in the right direction, as to which family it belongs and which tools to use on it.
The manual refers to the Coby 7032 which is the model with the capacitive touch screen.
