Coby Kyros MID1042 Problem

Redownloaded, verified the script. Ran the update....no joy. Same results all the way around.

Hypothetical...

There is a mod out there called AlienDroidV2.0.zip that I used on another Coby Mid1042...exact same device....I'm wondering if I could load that image with the stock recovery if I had a signed copy?

flash the cw recovery then with it you should be able to flash AlienDroidV2.0.zip.
 
I'm an idiot...I think I just found the problem....reattempting your first fix.

(by default, when I use USB to transfer files, it drops it in /sdcard and not /mnt/extsd which is the actual SD Card. I transferred it direct to the SD the first time and used the USB each update)
