Enable Market without using Youtube?

Just got a nook and auto-nootered it. However, my Gmail account (the one linked with my Droid X) was disabled on youtube long ago (I upload some concert clips which apparently got my account suspended). Therefore I cannot link a youtube account to my gmail and sign in on the nook. I supposed I could create a new gmail account, but I'd like to use the one already associated with the android market/etc.

Is there anyway around this?

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm thinking the guides I was using are old. I just opened Gmail, signed in/synced, and the Market recognizes my account.

Yea, the YouTube connection has been shown to not be necessary for all versions, but I don't know which are or are not. Glad it worked for you!
