Another rebranded Malata A1011, just like the Interpad. Pretty sweet specs. You can also just get it directly without the rebrand from www.Malata-USA.com (coming soon).

That site is not Owned my Malata. Malata is an OEM. They are not selling to the public. The are built to be rebranded and supported by a company they sell to.
you will have to purchase this through a Authorized Reseller like Flat Computing witch will support the MID.

Hi all ... new to the whole Android tablet thing ... this tablet looks like the best one out there for now.

As for the price, it's quite good IMO, considering the hardware and features!

Any other thoughts?

I think the Archos 101 is way better than this.

Well you may have to re-think that. The Archos 101 uses a 1 Ghz OMAP Cortex A8 SoC. This unit is using a nVidia Tegra 2 250 SoC which is a dual core Cortex A9 SoC which is about 2.5x to 3x more powerful than the one found in the Archos units. That and when Gingerbread and Honeycomb are released and the OS better optimized to take advantage of the dual core you will definitely see a HUGE difference in performance.

My advice is to just buy from a reputable company like Viewsonic, Toshiba, and Dixons Retail unless the cost is significantly less. Tegra 2 platforms are almost identical.
