It will be amusing if Apple is forced to release a 7" tablet to try to compete with Android, a platform it has dismissed as irrelevant.

I won't buy either, but a 7 inch iPad would increase Apple's sales by a third it would be a win for Apple.

I would definitely go with the best 7 inch tablet right now, the Nexus 7. It is great and there are at least 130 reasons (dollars) to get the Nexus 7 instead of the iPad mini.
