How Long Does Your Tablet Take to Boot?

Mine (rooted) takes a couple of minutes (it seems) displaying the X for quite a long time.

Likely doing startup things I suspect.

Any suggestions on how I can reduce this? What apps are best for managing startup or where I can see whats happening then?

I'm curious how many apps you have installed?

My boot time was 3-4 minutes on my TF101 (up from 30 sec when new).

I had about 400 apps. Cut back to what I need (75-100) and the boot time dropped to 40-45 seconds.

I have loads of apps and games installed.

So have installed startup manager and have been turning all the apps and games off from startup that do not need it.

Many games are set to start???

I have it down to 13 apps and the system apps now, although I still wouldn't say that its quick at booting.

How did you manage 38 apps in the drawer? Inquiring minds want to know. ;)

I assume you mean to ask how did I manage to have only 38 apps in the drawer? I think something like 24 are the Google Apps preloaded the lack apps loaded after that I attribute to the tablet being fairly new and one of 5 tablets currently in use :D The important ones are there though AnTuTu, Amazon Apps, Currents, Facebook, GSam Battery Monitor, NenaMark2, Netfilx, Nook, Quadrant, Vellamo ;)

On the home screen there should be 6 boxes close together. It may be bottom center, top right or top left.

Tap this to see all apps that are installed.

OK, so that's what you call the drawer....

Cheers.

I think I'm on 1 min 30 boot.

Mine boots in 30 seconds... but it is brand new and I haven't installed but a couple of apps so far.
