Jelly Bean on 7022!!!

I am experiencing this problem too. Strangly sometimes one day it's incompatible and the next one it is is, without an update of the app. my temporary workaround is to install the app on my smartphone back it up and then install it on my coby. Maybe changing the resolution or the device id in the build prop will fix that. I hope i will be able to try some stuff the next days but my gf gets a bit annoyed, when i spent my little time at home with my technical devices instead of her ;-)

I've already tried to tweak the build.prop (lcd density and model) with no success :/

And same pb with gf... ^^

Hi,

when trying to install I get a md5 mismatch. Just unzipped the file an copied to sdcard in clockworkmod/backup

Any suggestions?

You either have to download it again because you have a corrupt file; or like I said before, not all same model Coby Tablets are 100% the same.

Yes, you can get JB without that annoying 'enter a serial no' pop up (or at least I just did).;)

Note that, while the Coby Germany website link may be dead, googled around and found a pointer to the following URL, which allows you to install the Coby Germany Upgrade to ICS, and subsequent OTA update to JB.
http://coby.upgrade-android.com/apps/UpgradeAndroid.apk

Steps I followed:

1) First, got 1gig apps space following instructions at: http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...only-change-app-data-space-1gb-more-apps.html

2) I then installed the update using instructions at: http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...nate-long-method-ics-7022-ics-gapps-root.html

3) I then rebooted, enabled wi-fi and let the OTA to JB run.

Only issue I'm fighting is Google Play thinks I'm incompatible with many apps. I've tried messing with build.prop a bit, but so far have not found a good fingerprint for use with Jelly Bean. I would really appreciate it if someone running a more-or-less stock JB on a 7022 could provide a sample build.prop that solves the google play compatibility issue.

What's the difference between the ota jb update and the other jb thread by paintballeralex? Just wondering.

I think they meant this method (#2) below. I did the process you are asking about and it did work. Has an annoyin pop up for a serial number.

Took a few tries, but it does work.

I got stuck on the fast boot for a while and recovery not working, I just kept redoing the process excatly as stated in post#1
My SD card was not affeted so I was able to restore my CWM backup of ICS.

I have not tested anything, just the fact of having 1G of app space.

I used your excat steps and the info in the 2nd post for the tc8803mtd.img file.

It gave me CM7 -- I had ICS. I restored my ICS in Clockwork and I still have the 1G space.
First 2 pictures are right after doing this process. 3rd picture is the restore of ICS showing the 1G space. (I have used some space)

Congratulations you another lucky person that successfully did this procedure.
You should be able to mount the external micro SD.
If you used the restore you had before you expanded the internal memory, you might have issues.
I suggest you flash a fresh/clean install of ICS or JB. The space being used might be from the apps you had in the backup.

Just follow my JB rom installation:

Jellybean (Android 4.1.1) Update for 7022 [root and Gapps]

If you have any problems and need help don't hesitate to contact me. BTW it might take long for me to respond because I'm working on and with a new tablet.
