Keyboard question

I've seen a lot of talk about keyboard apparently. What's the real benefit here? I ask because the stock soft keyboard has worked fine for me but I've really come to trust this community. If there are benefits, what does everyone suggest?

I would say, if you have it sitting on your desk, and don't want to fiddle with either picking it up, or it sliding back while you are typing on it.

A keyboard would make terminal sessions a bit easier.. Also, you could post here faster.

Preference really, I like the gingerbread keyboard much more than stock.

I use FlexT9 keyboard, it's kinda like swype

Thanks everyone. I just downloaded Better Keyboard 7. I can see a bit of a difference in response and accuracy. This forum is the best. I've learned more in two weeks here than the past two months on my own : -)
