Kindle for Android App Downloads But Books Are Blank

I have a coby kyros mid9742-8 with android 4.0 ics I have downloaded the kindle app many times and every time it downloads but the pages are blank. The bookcovers are there but nothing on the pages except the title and page number. Other family members have coby kyros mid8042 with 4.0 ics and the kindle app works perfectly. I have contacted kindle and they have not been able to help me. Any ideas here. Thanks for any help.

I have the exact same problem. Talked extensively with kindle - no help. It looks to me like the app is throwing an exception when it tries to load the book. Let me know if you find a solution.

You can try this: in settings>apps, force-close the app, then clear its data and cache. Reboot the tablet. You may need to download the books again after that. Let us know if it works! My better half has no problem with the Kindle app on her 9742.
