Mid 2.3.3 operating system

My mid tablet will not hold the connection to the internet. It keeps throwing me back to the home screen. The wifi connection is excellent. Settings will not let me reset to factory settings so how do i fix this?

Is this a router at your home. If so, unplug your router for about 15 seconds and then reboot it.
