MID 706 TABLET Prob
hi! borg here, I've been tweaking my tablet mid 706 for 2 days now to no avail. The thing is that the tablet hang up when i plugged my 1 tera byte external drive since then it wont continue to boot up. It will just freeze on the android logo. Need help pls? already tried installing a series of firmware and yet i will just freeze on the logo. Any idea of what i should do?thank you.

Here is the information from my device:
Memory Size: 256mb
Model Number:Generic
Firmware version: 1.6
Kernel version: 2.6.29-00236-g4f8dbbb-dirty
Build number: V1.7.4

You are using Android 1.6 firmware 1.7.4. It looks to be a VIA8505 Chipset device. There are firmwares available. But 1.7.4 is usually fairly stable. BUT, You cannot easily plug in oversized drives on these low power Tablets running anything prior to Froyo-2.2. They simply do not like large (>32Gb) drives. Some firmwares have that capability, but you will not find joy trying to use a PC sized drive on a 1.5/1.6 tablet.
