MID8042 Options For GoPro Hero3 ?

Hi, I have a Coby MID8042 with Andriod ver 4.0.3, Kernel ver 3.0.8, build # 20120401.121016. I understand this is a "Coby Gen 3" tablet. I am trying to install the GoPro App, but it will not install on an older Android version. Must be 5.0 or newer I think.
I just want to have a live preview of my GoPro Hero3 black as I am negotiating trails in Moab, UT and I figured the larger screen on this tablet would make it perfect vs. an iPhone which has a very small screen.

Your options are to search for an older version of the app that can run on Android 4.0.3, or to purchase a new tablet.
