No car charger for Asus tablet?

I've just discovered that ASUS does not offer a charger that can be used in the car to charge the tablet when traveling. Is there a generic car charger available or how do others handle this problem?

Energizer makes a dual usb charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Plug the usb end of your cable into it to charge your pad. I picked mine up at Home Depot.

You don't say what tablet you're using. The OP is using an ASUS Transformer and it requires 15v DC to get any decent charge. Most of the third party USB chargers will not work. Just an FYI.

I got the energizer usb charger for christmas and had not tried it until today. It didn'twork. It only outputs 5v dc. Thanks for the heads up.

Any 2amp USB car charger will work. Just look for one that says works with iPad.

Maybe with other tabs, and the Nexus 7.

The TF101, 201, 300 and 700 need a 15 VDC charger and will not show charging with an iPad charger. It will slowly charge with the screen off at a 10% per hour rate. Stock charger is more like 35% per hour.

I can verify that this is true. You will need a VERIFIED 15 VDC charger like ours available here: ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 Car Charger 15V 1.2A

This is the only true way to charge your tablet on the go, and maintain a good charge while in use.

Thanks Frederuco for the support!
