Please help resolve problem with Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

My tablet doesn't start unless it's connected to a laptop. It doesn't charge when its connected or otherwise. When it does start, it's goes into a reboot loop. My applications are all backed up. Willing to reset. What is the problem here? And what is the solution? Please help.

That is a strange issue. I haven't heard of a tablet needing to be attached to a laptop in order to start up. I'm not sure a reset will help but you can find some information here that may help.

I finally got it to start, don't ask me how. tried to reset it but it ends with a error msg, and goes back to the password panel.
(I haven't opened my tab in a while, and have sadly forgotten password....)

Is it possible you have the password saved in your browser? You could log into Google on the WEB and change it.

Nopes. I'm an idiot.
The tab did open once, then the stupid reboot loop thing came around again, and now it's asking for the password again.

If you really did a factory reset, (some people don't know for sure if they did or didn't, especially if you can get into the system), then your tablet may have corrupted storage.

What can I do about the corrupted storage? Any solutions for it?

I can't say for sure that is the problem. You may want to take it to a place that repairs tablets or send it in to Samsung for repair. You should at least give them a call.
