When I download and install apps, they sometimes do not appear in the Android screen i. e. there is no icon for my new app. Can anyone explain what is wrong, and what I should do?
Does the app show up in the app drawer? When installing from sideload (non-playstore), the icon may not (will not?) appear on your homescreen. Look in the app drawer. It should be there.
