Regarding the installation of Anti-Hero

Hi there,
Purchased the Hero 1 lately, supposed to be a birthday-gift for my son. What leaves me puzzled atm is the following: suppose the build-number you mean is the s/n as printed on the case, i have a
20121116, accordingly the old G-sensor as well
Settings about gives me the following:
Build: 20130308.v1
Kernel: 3.0.8-g31be731-dirty

To get Anti-Hero going, would i need to downgrade the firmware ?

You shouldn't need to. 0308 is nearly identical to 0128 and none of the the important things like the kernel or bootloader were changed. All they did was add a few lines to the build.prop and add a gsensor configuration file in. You could also consider "cranked hero" by my buddy ant-uk which is based on the 0308 firmware if you are interested. It is a great ROM.
