[ROM][4.4.4] Cyanogenmod-11 for Lenovo A2109 (20160510)

CVE-2015-6616... As far as I can tell this problem applies only to Lollipop and Marshmallow releases before January 2016, so it shouldn't apply to KitKat or the latest Lollipop build? Don't know why your tool reports it as open...

CVE-2015-3636 is not fixed, but the patch applies cleanly to my tree, so expect to find it in the next build.

CVE-2014-3153 is already fixed. CVE-2013-6282 is already fixed as well. Don't know why your tool reports these vulnerabilities as open?

New kitkat build, with security fixes from android for april 2016, as well as some kernel security fixes. With correct kernel :)

cm-11-20160425-UNOFFICIAL-kai.zip (md5: 22c868d073412ba02a9c7510612a60b4)

Happy flashing!

Note that I intend this to be the last KitKat build. Lollipop is now at feature parity with KitKat, and I prefer to focus on developing Marshmallow and maintaining Lollipop.

That said - Happy flashing!

Hi @PJBrs first of all, I love your work and thank you!

I know that you won't work on it but I wanted to say (for you and for others that may want use this ROM) that I used the -20151001version for 10 months, and then I upgraded (no clean install, just wipe cache an dalvik) to the latest version, and I think that the final version is a bit more unstable and drains some battery.
And as a bug report: I have the vibrate and sound when chargin/discharging options activated. At first that worked just fine, but now it doesn't, no matter if I reboot or do anything (restore not included :p )

No matter what, Great work and Thank YOU!

After successfully rooting my tablet and installing the latest ROM (md5: b1bca2bfcb7c3126e28c34511e04adc4), I think I'm having a small problem. Every time I reboot the tablet (or power it on after switching it off), Android "updates" 13 apps; presumably the same 13 every time, but I can't say for sure because the Android dialogue on bootup doesn't specify what apps it's updating.

Other than that quirk, the tablet works great, in fact the latest ROM works significantly better than stock, in my estimation. But, the constant updating is a bit annoying. Is this normal, or have I made some mistake in the process of installing the ROM?

Well, really, this should not be necessary at all. The only think you really *need* to do is to install the new CWM for kitkat: cwm-6.0.5.1-UNOFFICIAL-kai.img. Without this, it won't work.

I have cwm 6.0.5.1 installed, but when I try to install the zip I receive the "Can't install this package on top of incompatible data..." I of course have the exact same issue when trying to install the 5.1.1 image. I've also tried with twrp which is also failing. In twrp I get an error trying to mount preload. I'm not sure if that's critical though, since I get the preload error when I flash back to a working ROM.

I flash the recovery images following the standard article [HOW TO] Install ClockworkMod Recovery and Root. I've confirmed that the bootloader is unlocked.

Any ideas?

Did you try to format the system partition before install the new ROM?

Thanks for the lead!!! I formatted system which didn't help, but then formatted the data partition which seemed to take care of it. I leapfrogged up to 5.1.1!

Good...

But I suggest that you install Marshmallow from this thread:

[ROM] Lineage-13.0 for A2109 [2017-03-04]

Much faster and stable and you can just upgrade it from this build. Don't forget to erase Dalvik cache.

Good luck
