Has anyone rooted their 300? Is it hard ? And what exactly do you gain? Sorry to sound like an idiot. And I saw the sparkyroot post is that the best bet?

Do not root just to root because that is what the cool nerds are doing.

It allows full system backups with Titanium, some apps require root to work, you can (if you unlock it) run custom ROMs and kernels to overclock it.

Rooted. Stock rom. How do I make custom themes and change the colors around is it an app or in the files somewhere?

I am not sure how to make changes like that. I know there are ways to change the default buttons on the ROM I am running on, I think it is just some picture files that need to be replaced. Where they reside, that is above my level.

It was easy to do. Sparky root I didn't have to downgrade with the blob file I was already on .17.
